L.I.F.E. membership is open to families pursuing Christian home education.

As a cooperative support group, members assist with planning and conducting training and programs for students and families.  We have activities year round, seminars, mentoring for new homeschool families, guest speakers from all over Michigan and neighboring states that have dedicated their lives to Homeschooling.

The annual membership fee includes a free monthly newsletter subscription, member discounts on activities, and a bi-monthly support group meeting.

The LIFE WEBSITE is a Closed Website meaning that you must have a current LIFE membership before you will be allowed to register and have access.  If you would like more information please email, Administrator@LIFECHRISTIANHOMESCHOOLERS.COM

PURPOSE

L.I.F.E.  (Lenawee Involved in Family Education) is a non-denominational Christian homeschool support group that exists to support Christian homeschooling families in matters of common interest, including legal information, educational resources, and motivation/training for both parents and their children.

BELIEF

We believe in the Bible as the verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God, We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; in the vicarious death of Jesus Christ for our sins; His virgin birth, sinless life, His bodily resurrection, and His personal return; in the necessity of the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration and the building of the Body of Christ.  We also believe in the creation of man in God's image by the direct act of God; in the power of prayer; in the sanctity of life; and in each child as a gift from God.

BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS

We seek to nurture the character of our children and represent Christian values to others.  Consequently, both parents and children should respect the following standards while attending any L.I.F.E. sanctioned event.  If unwilling to do so, they may be asked to leave by the coordinator or member of the board of directors.

Those who participate in L.I.F.E. activities are expected to:

1.      Strive to honor and glorify God in all of life.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the Glory of God.(I Corinthians 10:31)

2.      Respect their bodies, dressing modestly and appropriately and abstaining from tobacco, illicit drugs, and controlled substances.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; you were bought at a price.  Therefore, honor God with your body.  (I Corinthians 6:19-20)

3.      Speak carefully, honoring the name and character of God by avoiding profane and vulgar speech, and speaking respectfully to others.

But among you there must not be…obscenity, foolish talk or course joking, which are out of place….. (Ephesians 5:3-4)

4.      Act appropriately, practicing courtesy and respecting the property and regulations of others.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.  (Colossians 3:12-14)

5.      No guns or firearms are permitted at L.I.F.E. events.  No objects resembling a weapon, including toy guns, jack-knives, brass knuckles, etc. are permitted without prior arrangements and approval from the L.I.F.E. Board.

Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.  (Ecclesiastes 9:18)
